MONDAY NIGHT VOICE CLASS

Group singing is fun and good for you!

Join Edd Key and up to 12 singers for four, Monday-night,two-hour sessions that include warm-up, ear-training, and sight singing exercises.  We’ll choose 6-8 songs to work on and record.  Includes study materials and CDs to help you shape up those vocal cords and have a blast singing with others.

We’ll explore unison and part-singing, songs from many styles and eras, and at the end we’ll record our work on a souvenir CD.

All voices, ranges, and skill levels welcome.

Minimum 6, Maximum 12 members

Four, 2-hour sessions - 7PM - 9PM

WEDNESDAY NIGHT - THE REDBARN SINGERS

New this FALL!

Edd Key and Theresa Holmes invite you to THE REDBARN SINGERS - a Level 2 Vocal Class for folks who'd like a bit more of a challenge.  We’ll continue to explore healthy singing techniques and ear-training with interesting and fun warmups and unison songs.  But we'll also take on more demanding material with unusual rounds and multi-part songs drawn from many styles and cultures.  The level of difficulty will be tailored to the skills of each month's group.

All voices and ranges welcome.  However, the ability to read music or learn quickly by rote is recommended for this class.

Minimum 6, Maximum 12 members

On Saturday Afternoons

FOLKSONGS FOR OLD FOLKIES

 

Join Edd Key and Theresa Holmes - a couple of old folkies if there ever were some - along with up to 12 students for some hands-on help PLAYING AND SINGING a load of your favorite FOLK tunes.

Songbook includes Great American Traditionals, plus your favorite singer/songwriters of the 60s, and 70s - (Crosby, Stills and Nash, Eagles, Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitt, Paul Simon, James Taylor etc.).

We will explore: basic chord progressions in easy keys, simple vocal harmonies, and creating your own arrangements.

Bring your favorite instrument and lets have fun. (Must know how to tune your instrument and how to play chords in the keys of C, D, G & A.)

 

Minimum 6, Maximum 12 members

Four, 2-hour sessions - Saturday 3 - 5 PM
